Vita Dr Werner Boysen

As a graduate mechanical engineer specialising in design and development, Dr Werner Boysen was used to an assembly-based approach from component to machine – until he got to know the other perspective in complete vehicle testing in the Volkswagen Group’s product development department, namely appearance studies to assess the entire vehicle from the customer’s point of view. This experience opened his eyes to the great challenge of co-ordinated interaction between specialist departments – and thus laid the foundation for Dr. Boysen Management + Consulting.

Formal training

Dr Werner Boysen, born in 1961, is a graduate engineer in mechanical engineering specialising in R&D and holds a Master of Science (M. Sc.) in electrical engineering with a focus on data communication as well as an Executive MBA and a doctorate in business administration (Dr. rer. pol.) with a focus on business informatics and information management.

Professional career

After holding various specialist and management positions in the automotive and packaging industries in various European countries, Werner Boysen has been an independent management consultant and interim manager since 2001, specialising in operational earnings growth and company stabilisation.

In his implementation projects, Werner Boysen combines classic management methods with proven principles of cybernetics, which he himself has been preparing in a practical way for companies for many years.
